INSPAN Interspinous Spacer
The INSPAN interspinous spacer is an implantable device placed between the spinous processes of the lumbar vertebrae. It is used to treat lumbar spinal stenosis and the leg pain it causes when you stand or walk.

How It Works
Through a small incision, the INSPAN device is implanted between two spinous processes in the affected lumbar segment. The implant is positioned to address the narrowing at that level; how it is configured depends on your anatomy and what your imaging shows.
What to Expect
30-45 minute minimally invasive procedure at our ASC.
Recovery
Return home same day. Resume light activities within 1-2 weeks. Full activity within 4-6 weeks.
Duration of Relief
The INSPAN device is a permanent implant.
